Aurora High School shooting leaves 3 injured; 16-year-old gunman arrested

A 16-year-old suspect was arrested Friday and charged with attempted murder over a shooting at an Aurora High School that left three people injured.

The incident occurred at around 12:30 p.m. Friday in the parking lot of Hinkley High School, just three miles away from where yet another high school mass shooting had left six teens hospitalized earlier this week.

“A 16-year-old male is in custody & charged with attempted murder. His name will not be released,” police said in a release.

    Two victims were rushed to an area hospital while a third drove themselves to receive treatment.”

    The school was placed on lockdown following the shooting as the search for other suspects continues.
