Superstar LeBron James got the first suspension of his NFL career Sunday night after he fought Detroit Pistons’ Isaiah Stewart over a rebound.
The suspensions were announced Monday with James disciplined “for recklessly hitting Stewart in the face and initiating an on-court altercation.” Stewart was suspended for “escalating an on-court altercation by repeatedly and aggressively pursuing James in an unsportsmanlike manner.”
After he was struck to the face by the Lakers’ icon, Stewart started bleeding and became enraged to the point his teammates had to hold him back.
Both players were ejected from the floor following the altercation that took place during the third quarter of the NBA game.
James will miss the next game against the NY Knicks while Stewart won’t be part of the team when they face Miami Heat and the Milwaukee Bucks.
