The Judge presiding over Kyle Rittenhouse's trial said that the two protesters allegedly killed last year in Kenosha by the defendant won’t be called ‘Victims’, ‘Looters’, or ‘Rioters’ during the proceedings.
Kenosha County Circuit Judge Bruce Schroeder added that Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, and Anthony Huber, 26, shouldn’t be referred to in “any other pejorative term” until “evidence show what it shows.”
The trial of Rittenhouse starts on November 1 when he faces charges of intentional homicide, recklessly endangering safety, and possession of a weapon by a minor.
He was 17 when he armed himself with an AR-15 style rifle and joined protests over Jacob Blake's shooting before opening fire, killing the two men.
Rittenhouse said that he had been attacked with a baseball bat and a skateboard, but an evaluation at the scene only revealed superficial scratches.
