Washington news, US news.

Frustrated Americans took to Twitter amid an ongoing supply chain crisis to voice out their worries and blame the Biden administration for the shortages.

Friday morning, the hashtag #BareShelvesBiden was top trending in the US along with a similar hashtag #EmptyShelvesJoe. Both have been shared over 30,000 times on Twitter.

Social media users also shared memes of the President in front of empty stores with captions such: “Please bear with us, we’re experiencing President Biden” and “I did that.”

Earlier this week, the White House revealed taking steps to resolve the disruptions but that the process may need weeks and the crisis would last until the Christmas season.

“If federal support is needed, I’ll direct all appropriate action, and if the private sector doesn’t step up, we’re going to call them out and ask them to act,” Biden said Wednesday.
