Illinois authorities have arrested a mother after finding the remains of her slain newborn daughter hid in a bucket back in June.
Kristin Alley Larson, 35, was charged with first-degree murder and concealment of the homicidal death of her newborn, Baby Larson.
Winnebago County investigators received a tip about a possible missing newborn at Larson’s home and made the grim discovery.
“During their search, the detectives located the remains of a female newborn infant that had been deceased a few days,” prosecutors said adding that the baby girl was born alive.
The baby’s remains were “in a bucket which had been placed in one of the home’s spare rooms.” Authorities did not immediately give an official manner of death.
