‘Trade him!’: ESPN’s Stephen Smith advises Nets to give up on Irving over persisting refusal to get jabbed

New York City news, New York news.

All-Star Kyrie Irving remains unwilling to get vaccinated, even with Brooklyn Nets suspending him earlier in the week for his inability to compete with the rest of the team.

The persisting refusal of Irving seems to make ESPN’s Stephen Smith mad and prompted the sports television celebrity to ask for him “be traded.”

“Trade him! If he ain’t gonna take the vaccine and can’t play half your home games, trade him,” Smith advised the Nets.

Irving is now banned from practicing with his teammates or competing with the Nets until he is vaccinated against Covid, something he categorically refuses.
