Mystery: Investigators have no clues over deaths of 2 women found in Schenectady apartment with no signs of trauma

Two middle-aged women were discovered dead inside a Schenectady apartment over the weekend and investigators said they have no clues how they died.

The unidentified decedents, a woman in her 50s and another in her 40s, were found dead at noon Saturday inside a Northside Village apartment.

  • A relative called 911 after making the discovery and authorities said the women had no visible signs of trauma or struggle and a carbon monoxide test at the scene turned out negative.

    In addition, autopsy results were inconclusive with detectives now awaiting toxicology results to determine a probable cause of death.

    Foul play was not immediately ruled out but the deaths are not currently being treated at the time. The housing complex where the bodies were found was reportedly undergoing maintenance.
