An Ohio child was mauled to death by her family dogs that got agitated during a violent altercation between two adults at the same home.
Akron Police officers rushed to the scene at around 10:30 a.m. Sunday over reports of a 16-month-old girl that has been severely attacked by at least two pitbulls.

The tot was taken to the Akron Children’s Hospital where doctors declared her dead.
Investigators revealed that the canines may have been startled by the fight that unfolded between a 20-year-old man and a woman, who are not the deceased girl’s parents.
The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office is conducting an autopsy to identify the toddler and provide an official cause of death.
