Bloody rampage in NY home: Man stabs father, younger sister to death before slitting own throat

A 22-year-old New York man has survived self-inflicted injuries and is now being prosecuted for the fatal stabbings of his dad and his 12-year-old sister that took place in the family’s home over the weekend.

Michael J. Andreev Jr. was taken into custody upon his release from Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse where he received surgery for injuries to his neck.

    Investigators are working to determine a motive and the circumstances surrounding the murders.

    Andreev was charged with two counts of second-degree murder and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
