‘Mystery’: Four Minnesota residents found dead inside car abandoned in Dunn County, Wis. cornfield

Authorities in Dunn County have identified the four victims who were shot and killed inside an SUV abandoned off a rural road as Minnesota residents.

Nitosha Lee Flug-Presley, 30; Loyace Foreman III, 35; Matthew Isiah Pettus, 26; and Jasmine Christine Sturm, 30, were found lifeless inside a vehicle in a Dunn County cornfield, off a rural road.

The victims were last seen leaving a St. Paul bar on Saturday night with a fifth person. Detectives determined that they were shot hours later.

  • “We can’t find any connection to this area other than possibly randomly driving out of the Twin Cities,” Sheriff Kevin Bygd said.

    “It’s highly unusual for this area. Obviously, we’ve had homicides in the last several years, but something of this magnitude – working on my 33rd year working for Dunn County, and this is a first.”

    Bygd described the crime as “a mystery” and revealed that so far, there was no official motive or evidence suggesting the victims were linked to drug or criminal organizations.
