A Michigan father and former corrections officer had put an end to his life and that of his 3-year-old toddler this week, concretizing threats he had been making for years, authorities said.
32-year-old Derek Thebo and 3-year-old Dylan Thebo were found dead Wednesday in their residence located at 11000 block of Barnsley Road in Lowell.
Officers were conducting a wellness check requested by relatives who had not heard from the man in several days.
“He threatened to kill me, my children, and my family, and to commit suicide afterward,” Thebo’s estranged wife had told the court in previous filings.
“He rattled off the names of my family members and said he knew where they worked, he knew when they were home, and that he could get to them and hurt them.”
