Wisconsin authorities have charged a Windsor man with the murder dismemberment of his mom Wednesday, the same charges he is facing for killing his dad earlier last month.
Prosecutors alleged that Chandler Halderson, 23, reported his parents missing on July 7 and spun a “web of lies” regarding their disappearance.
Initially claiming that Bart and Krista Halderson had left for the family cabin with an unknown couple, Chandler changed his claims asserting that his missing parents headed to a Fourth of July parade in White Lake and never returned.
A search of the man’s Google history revealed disturbing queries including the sentences “Wisconsin dismembered body found,” “Woman’s body found in Wisconsin,” and “Body found Wisconsin.”
The bodies of Bart and Krista Halderson were discovered six days apart in rural Dane County and along the Wisconsin River.
Chandler, who told detectives he “didn’t feel bad about what I did,” was charged with two counts of first-degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse, hiding a corpse, and providing false information.
