Fiery Queens Crash: Driver loses control, dies after crashing car into pole

An NYC man was pronounced dead at the scene of a tragic crash that took place early Sunday morning, according to the New York Police Department.

The 27-year-old unidentified driver was ejected from the vehicle when he hit a light pole at 79th Street and Linden Boulevard in Lindenwood.

  • The crash occurred at around 4:40 a.m. Sunday when the drag racing motorist lost control of his vehicle that crashed into a light pole and burst into flames.

    Medics pulled the driver out of the overturned car and rushed him into Jamaica Hospital where he was declared dead at 6:42 a.m.

    The victim’s identity and cause of death are being investigated. Further details will be provided, the NYPD said.
