North Carolina teen gunned down while sitting with pals at picnic table: ‘It didn’t mean to go down that way’

Authorities in Monroe, North Carolina arrested four suspects on first-degree murder charges in connection with the shooting death of a 13-year-old late Saturday.

The victim was identified as Loyalti Allah. She was fatally shot at around 8 p.m. while she sat with her friends at a picnic table.

Officers were able to track down the suspects’ black Ford Freestyle and busted four men aged between 19 and 22.

The culprits were identified as Javon Robinson, Darius Roland, Jamarius McLain, and Jamarius Crowder.

“Our officers have done an amazing job in leaving no stone unturned to ensure the individuals who committed this crime are not only identified, but also apprehended and brought to justice,” Monroe Police Chief Bryan Gilliard said.

  • “This is such a devastating act that has far-reaching implications that was entirely uncalled for. These individuals took an innocent life for absolutely no reason and now a family and community has to live with this forever.”

    One of the suspects, Javon Robinson, told WBTV-TV that he was not targeting the teen.

    “I’m sorry for her loss. It didn’t mean to go down that way.”

    A GoFundMe page has since been set up for the girl’s family. Her grieving mom told local news outlets that Loyalti was just “at the wrong place at the wrong time.”

    “I been in the hospital for three days this week, and I came home Saturday morning. Saturday evening –my baby was gone. Nobody don’t know how I feel to see my baby laying there taking her last breath,” she said.
