NYPD is investigating the discovery of a deceased man in Central Park’s Harlem Meer where another person was found dead a year ago.
The body spotted Saturday night is believed to be that of a man in his 40s. A horrified woman called 911 at around 7 p.m. to report the finding.
Police pulled the man out of the water and declared him dead at the scene. The cause and manner of death are pending autopsy results.
Last September, a fisherman accidentally hooked the lifeless body of another man while fishing at the same lake.
“I was fishing in the Harlem Meer and my second cast I hook something and then lifted the line,” the witness said.
“I had seen the body in the water then I call 911.”
