San Diego woman accidentally kills husband entering home through back door

A San Diego woman had accidentally gunned down her husband yesterday as he tried to enter their home through the back door.

The fatal shooting took place at around 5:55 p.m. as the victim was getting in the house in the 2500 block of Camino de Las Palmas, San Diego.

The distraught woman called 911 reporting the accidental shooting that left her husband’s body lying lifeless outside the residence.

    His wife was detained at the scene. Lt. Tom Seiver added that there was no imminent risk to the community.

    At around the same time, the San Diego Police Department was alerted to a suicidal man who was about to cut himself.

    Responding deputies shot the 34-year-old man and disarmed him after he produced a gun and threatened to shoot them.
