4 Illinois ‘armed and dangerous’ inmates at large after escaping Fulton County jail

Authorities in Fulton County, Illinois are looking for four armed and dangerous prisoners who managed to flee their cell block Wednesday.

In a Thursday update, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Eugene M. Roets, 23; Jesse Davis, 35; Cody Villalobos, 26; and Zachary Hart, 36; were still at large by 11:37 a.m.

When the jailbreak occurred, Roets was awaiting transfer to another prison where he would serve 7 years for assault and theft convictions.

    Authorities declined to detail how the inmates broke away from the Lewistown jail but specified that it occurred late Wednesday.

    The four escapees are considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached, the Sheriff’s statement added.
