Washington daredevil motorcyclist, 28, dies in fatal crash while practicing for record-breaking jump

A Washington motorcyclist and daredevil had passed away while practicing for a record-breaking jump Thursday.

28-year-old Alex Harvill died following a fatal crash at the Grant County International Airport in Moses Lakes, Washington.

The dad-of-two was trying to break the 351 feet record jump set by Robbie Maddison in 2008.

  • “Our deepest sympathies go out to Alex’s family, friends, and loved ones,” police said, adding that Harvill’s helmet flew off before he landed 20 feet over the handlebars.

    Harvill had said in an interview that he’d been riding since he was a toddler and before that, his dad would place him in the front of his bike.

    “My entire life I’ve ridden dirt bikes and looked up to everyone that races dirt bikes and think of those guys as heroes.”
