Windsor Locks murder-suicide incident leaves 3 dead, woman injured

Three Connecticut family members have been killed and one is seriously injured during an overnight murder-suicide incident.

Police said that they’ve responded to the home at the Lownds Drive in Windsor Locks at around 1 a.m. after nearby residents called to report hearing shots and commotion.

Officers pronounced two women and a man dead on the second floor of the house where the blended family of parents and stepchildren lived.

  • A trail of blood led cops to another woman with several gunshot wounds. She is listed in critical but stable condition.

    “Another person was located unharmed. This person is not a suspect at this time. The assailant is believed to be among the deceased.”

    Cops said that there was a guest killed, identified as 18-year-old Lauren Leslie, and small children that were unharmed.

    “Murder-suicide is always a shocking development and everything is magnified in smaller towns where people know each other or know of each other,” Police Lt. Paul Cherniack said. “It’s always shocking, and it’s horrific and very graphic.”
