St. Peters authorities have charged a mom with first-degree murder for killing her 39-year-old depressed daughter in a botched suicide pact that did not work for her.
Donna Scuderi, 69, allegedly searched the internet looking for methods to kill her daughter, Laura, and herself before she moved to action Friday.
She reportedly drugged her daughter and then put a bag over her head before she strangled her using a cord.
She then tried to do the same thing to herself but failed before she grabbed some knives from the kitchen and slit her throat.
Her husband found her covered in blood, unresponsive but breathing. She spent two days in the hospital before she regained consciousness.
“How’s my daughter? I’m sorry. I’m sorry, what’s going to happen?” she asked her nurse.
