Milwaukee news, Wisconsin news.

A Wisconsin man pleaded guilty to strangling his girlfriend and their two young daughters, hours after they had buried a one-year-old son last year.

Arzel Ivery directed detectives to the bodies of Amarah “Jerica” Banks, 5-year-old Zaniya Banks, and 4-year-old Camaria Banks that he had left in a garage after a failed attempt to burn them.

On February 8, 2020, the parents came back home after laying their toddler to rest but Ivery still headed to work and did not return until late at night.

Ivery told police that “he grabbed Banks and pushed her head into the wall two times before he strangled her with both hands.”

He added that “he didn’t want the children to live in a world where they did not have their mother” and so decided to strangle them as well.

Ivery was arrested in Nashville, Tennessee days later after confessing to his dad in a call. He was about to “start a new life in Memphis.”
