Alabama authorities identified the bodies of a woman and her two children who were found fatally shot inside a submerged car in Eufaula Lake earlier this week.
Remona Hudson and her two young sons were allegedly gunned down inside their blue Toyota early Monday morning before it was found submerged in Walter F. George reservoir in Old Town Creek Park.
Investigators concluded that the three victims were dead before their car ended up in waters. Demetrius Deveonte McGhee, 26, was hospitalized and arrested in connection with the murders.
McGhee, who was hit with four counts of capital murder, was according to his mother still traumatized after witnessing a familial tragedy.
His older brother, Dextrell Williams had killed his girlfriend then taken his own life. Both McGhee and his mother were watching on.
“I’m just so sorry,” she said. “I just want the family to know that I am so sorry in my deepest in my heart. I am so sorry for what my son did, and I am just so sorry.”
