Homeless couple came across severed human foot while ‘dumpster diving’ in Baltimore

A Maryland homeless couple called police early Tuesday after making a grisly discovery while “dumpster diving” in west Baltimore.

The woman told responding officers that at around 10 a.m. she and her boyfriend were searching a container in the 1000 block of W. North Avenue.

She said that they spotted a bag and opened it to find a human foot inside. Police searched the dumpster for more remains but did not find anything else.

    Officials will also try to identify the person through DNA and link the results to missing people and similar cases.

    On November 30, 2020, Baltimore officers had found a woman’s torso wrapped in a tarp in a southwest Baltimore park.
