Ex-MMA fighter fatally shot at NM home after shooting girlfriend, dragging her out

New Mexico Police are looking for the shooter of former MMA fighter Tyler East who died Monday amid a domestic violence incident at his Los Lunas residence.

The 30-year-old victim was reportedly abusing his girlfriend according to the New Mexico State Police when the incident occurred.

East had shot the woman and was dragging her out of the residence when someone grabbed a weapon and gunned him down.

    East is the brother of former UFC fighter Cody East. He had professionally competed 21 times from 2009 to 2016.

    Also known as “The Beast”, he was last knocked out by Brian Heden. East had on many occasions been involved in legal troubles.
