California mass shooter knew his 4 victims, shut gates so they couldn’t escape: Orange Police

During a Thursday press conference, California authorities shed more light on the Wednesday mass shooting that left four people dead including a 9-year-old boy.

Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer identified the gunman as Aminadab Gaxiola Gonzalez and said that the 44-year-old Fullerton resident knew his victims.

“Our hearts today go out to the victims, and I’m here to tell you that we’re going to do everything in our power in the Orange County District Attorney’s office to get justice for these families,” Spitzer said adding that his office will seek the death penalty against Gonzalez.

  • Spitzer also said that the suspect who remains in critical condition at a hospital plotted to incarcerate people inside the two-story building, shutting closed the entrance gates.

    Police are yet to confirm the gunman’s actual target inside the business complex but early reports said that he intended Unified Homes to be his shooting rampage scene.

    The sibling of the company’s owner confirmed that he didn’t hear from him since the incident.

    “He’s not answering his phone, neither is my niece. I’m pretty scared and worried…right now I’m just praying really hard,” he said.
