A 2-month-old Ohio girl had died days before Thanksgiving and now authorities have arrested her dad in connection with her death.
The arrest of 38-year-old Christopher Ledoux came after a lengthy investigation that confirmed Christine Ledoux had been asphyxiated.
Officers responded to Ledoux’s home after receiving a “frantic” call reporting an unresponsive child at around 4 a.m. on Nov. 17.
An autopsy found that the infant had a baby wipe shoved into her mouth, causing her to stop breathing and die at a local hospital despite lie-saving attempts.
Ledoux has been indicted on one count of reckless homicide Thursday by the Fairfield County Court of Common Pleas.
He is being held on a $50,000 bond. Authorities said that he had been convicted of drug possession and a history of drug/alcohol addiction.
