Ohio man called 911, told dispatcher he beat child to death & was hearing voices

An Ohio father who was just released from a mental health facility called 911 on Thursday to tell a dispatcher he had killed his autistic son.

Matthew J. Ponomarenko, 31, deliberately confessed to beating his 5-year-old son Jax until he died then told the dispatcher “I just killed my son.”

He added that he was “hearing voices” and that he did not know why he killed the boy. “I’m shaken,” he said.

Ponomarenko has his son’s name tattooed over his left eyebrow. In 2017, he had left the then-1-year-old in the middle of the road and attacked people.

“My mom dropped him off today. He was fine, he was vibrant, completely content, and all of a sudden, we get hit with all this.”
