A brutal hammer-attack has claimed the life of a 7-year-old boy early Thursday when his mom’s boyfriend “just lost it” and bludgeoned him to death.
Officer arrived at the Beckley apartment complex at around 2:45 a.m. to find the child covered in blood and died on the couch in the living room.
The boy, called Tre’shaun, had severe injuries to his head’s left side. He reportedly had learning disabilities.
Rashad Akeem Thompson was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
He admitted to murdering the boy and injuring his girlfriend, Felicia Brown.
Friends of the mom set up a GoFundMe Page to help her after losing her “precious baby boy to a senseless act of violence.”
“Any amount will help and all donations will go straight to her, for medical bills, Tre’shaun’s funeral services, and the rest will be used to help get her back on her feet.”
