The violence in New York City subways is disturbingly getting out of control after two stabbing victims were discovered at opposite ends of tracks within two hours on Friday.
At around 11:20 p.m., the first victim was found fatally stabbed as he layed in his seat at the A train’s Queens Station.
Similarly, a woman was knifed to death underneath subway seats at the same line’s northernmost stop in Manhattan two hours later.
“We don’t know. That’s something the detectives will determine,” the NYPD said of the possibility that the two incidents were linked.
A third victim, a 67-year-old man using a walker, was attacked and stabbed multiple times in the knee and hip as he waited at the A train stop at Fort Washington Avenue and West 181st Street, only 10 minutes after the Queens’ grisly incident.
“I’m going to kill you!” the assailant shouted before knifing the man who would later be rushed to Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center.
The murdered woman was identified as a 44-year-old homeless with mental health issues, her dad said.
“Oh my God…She died! Oh my God. Did they catch who did it? She doesn’t listen and she keeps riding these trains. The trains are not safe. Anything can happen…I loved everything about her, but she doesn’t listen.”
