A beloved kick-boxer was found laying dead in her bed with her arm ripped off Friday after a horrific mauling incident at her Birmingham, England home.
25-year-old Keira Ladlow was reportedly alone at her home where the involved dog, a Staffordshire crossbreed, lived after being adopted by a relative from a local rescue.
“No one else was in the property at the time,” the West Midlands Police said adding that neighbors heard Ladlow screaming loudly during the attack.
“The poor girl was heard by neighbors screaming and shouting for help. The screams were extremely loud. They could hear a dog in the house barking incredibly loud. It was constant.”
“The girl was very badly injured. It was horrific. It’s heartbreaking. Her family is totally devastated.”
Authorities said that the dog will be humanely put down: “The woman’s family has signed the dog, believed to be a Staffordshire cross, over to police.”
“The death is being treated as a tragic incident but with no suspicious circumstances.”
