Rose City news, Michigan news.

A Michigan family of three had apparently frozen to death in a secluded area over the weekend, less than two weeks after being spotted alive for the last time.

Authorities identified the deceased as Amanda Pomeroy, Douglas Dougherty, and their 8-month-old son Jacob Dougherty.

The family was reported missing on January 16; after all worried relatives’ attempts to contact them went unanswered.

Officers discovered that three people were inside, dead. They were trapped off Stoney Ridge Road after their vehicle broke down.

“I knew he didn’t leave because he would’ve called me,” Dougherty’s grieving mom said. “He called me if not every day, maybe every two or three days.”

The couple reportedly struggled with drug addiction but the incident was ruled an accident pending autopsy results.
