Lake Charles news, Louisiana news.

A fight between girls at a Walmart over the last weekend turned deadly when four of them stole knives and fatally stabbed a fifth.

The incident occurred at around 7:30 p.m. Saturday inside a Lake Charles Walmart store where four-armed female juveniles, ages 12 to 14, stabbed a 15-year-old girl to death.

Calcasieu Sheriff Tony Mancuso said that the murder was caught on surveillance video and seemed to have started on social media.

“We have videos of everything that took place, and it’s very disturbing, it truly is,” Mancuso said.

  • “We have a problem in our community we’re going to have to face and address,” the sheriff added noting that it was the third juvenile-involved homicide he had worked on in less than six months.

“This is just a problem that we are having with kids having access to weapons, in some cases stealing weapons. In last night’s case, they stole knives from the actual store where they were at.”

The official said that the four underage girls were from “all backgrounds, all races.”

“We have got to do something to get the juvenile crime under control. We can’t police our way out of it. I’m asking you this tonight for our parents to take control.”

Mancuso continued: “We as a society cannot tolerate this behavior. We cannot just sit back and let this go on…you’re going to have to find a solution for this. We’re not the answer. The police are not the answer.”
