Dallas news, Texas news.

As soon as he felt police were following him, Herbert Nixon Flores left his car and shot himself dead Saturday.

The 46-year-old MS-13 gang member was caught on surveillance footage opening fire at his ex-girlfriend in the driveway of her California home as their toddler, 3, screamed in horror.

The victim was declared dead at the scene and authorities launched an extensive search for Flores before he was tracked down to Arlington, Texas.

Dallas Police deployed unmarked vehicles and an Air Unit to follow him as he drove toward Dallas, but Flores still felt their presence.
