Off-medication schizophrenic man assaults mom, blinds girlfriend, tosses infant out window

A 29-year-old Florida man is facing attempted felony murder and aggravated assault charges for brutally attacking his mother with a wooden stick and stabbing his girlfriend several times before throwing their infant daughter out of the window.

It occurred last Saturday at about 6 a.m. inside the family Fort Lauderdale house.

Pierre Francois viciously beat his elderly mother before grabbing a large kitchen knife and stabbing his girlfriend in both eyes which left her temporarily blind.

He then snatched their one-year-old daughter and tossed her out of the window, the Broward Sheriff’s Office mentioned.

  • The baby whose nose was bitten off was found face down in the backyard. She was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition, authorities said.

    The victims told police that Francois who had mental issues and was struggling with schizophrenia was likely off medication and intoxicated that day.

    “He began acting like he was mad,” his mom said.

    The suspect “was screaming for her to stop hurting his mother while she was attempting to tell him she is his mother,” the arrest report revealed.
