Manhunt for suspect who murdered girlfriend, brother and abducted baby before dropping him off safely

An Amber Alert for an abducted Chicago toddler has been concealed 30 minutes after being issued when someone dropped off the infant safely at a police station.

But the search continues for the kidnapper, Clarence Hebron, 32, who stands accused of killing his girlfriend Jessica Abeal, 26, and her 27-year-old brother Damien.

The one-year-old kidnapped boy was Abeal’s son. She was reportedly pregnant when she was murdered on Friday.

  • “Clarence Hebron is believed to be driving a 2009 silver Dodge Caravan with Illinois license plate CA96676,” police said.

    The victims’ cousin, Ruby Bolden said that her relatives did not deserve to be murdered.

    “At first it was Jessica, and I found out she was dead. Then it was Damien, too. I hope they catch him because this was really wrong.”

    Hebron had just been released from jail after serving time for violent crimes, including vehicular manslaughter of a woman in 2019.
