Residents of Macon, Georgia, and friends of a 19-year-old woman who was fatally shot by her 31-year-old boyfriend on Friday are in shock following the tragedy that she “didn’t deserve” to suffer.
A man walking by the wooded trail where the murder-suicide took place called 911 at around 10 a.m. and the victims were identified as Diamond Purvis and Sidney Bishop.
Purvis had many friends that all described her as a kind person who “did not deserve” that end.
“She’s such a lover, she’s not even a fighter,” Tabitha Carr said.
A resident of the Hitchcock neighborhood where the bodies were found described her shock over the violent incident.
“I’ve never witnessed anything like this, I’m going to be honest with you. Nothing like this,” said the woman who lived there since 1996.
“I don’t know what they were arguing about. I don’t know who they were. I never saw them. I just know that my house was bombarded by a bunch of policemen early this morning.”
