Ohio authorities have arrested a couple accused of torturing and starving a 10-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy in one of the “worst cases of abuse they have ever seen.”
Priscilla Meachem, 31, and Elijah Waltz, 38, were charged with felonious assault, kidnapping, and child endangering as they remain behind bars on $500,000 bonds.
They were arrested on October 21 after a witness called 911 to report the abuse they inflicted on the children.
According to charging documents, Meachem and Waltz bounded the kids with several items such as duct tape, belts, electrical cords, and zip ties and beat them.
The children were also tortured and starved as the couple ate in front of them. They shaved their heads and threatened to cause them a “horrible death.”
The documents also reported that the kids were battered with a cane, guitar, and a two-by-four and gagged with socks.
