CDC officials issued a warning over aftereffects that Covid-19 vaccines might have on patients during the first few days that follow the procedure.

Medical experts and advisers for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention discussed the matter for five hours on Monday.

The lengthy meeting came as three companies, AstraZenica, Pfizer &BioNTech, and Moderna announced the readiness of their coronavirus vaccines labeled as 90% effective.

“We really need to make patients aware that this is not going to be a walk in the park. They are going to know they had a vaccine. They are probably not going to feel wonderful. But they’ve got to come back for that second dose,” Dr. Sandra Fryhofer said.

Trial volunteers have described feeling mild coronavirus symptoms after the vaccination, and doctors worry that these effects could discourage patients from getting the second dose or even, opt out of the whole process.

“These are immune responses, so if you feel something after vaccination, you should expect to feel that. And when you do, it’s normal that you have some arm soreness or some fatigue or some body aches or even some fever,” Dr. Patricia Stinchfield added.
