California caretaker arrested after beating dead 92-year-old patient he served for 20 years

A California caretaker has been arrested in connection with the death of his 92-year-old patient in a motel room earlier this week.

Tracy authorities have arrested 64-year-old Clark Stone of Lathrop after identifying him as the only suspect in the murder of JC Williams Jr. on Nov. 18.

The victim was found unresponsive at around 8 p.m. with apparent blunt force trauma injuries and died at the scene. Investigators ruled his death suspicious.

  • “Upon further investigation, Mr. Williams appeared to have multiple blunt force trauma injuries, which were believed to have resulted in his death,” police said.

    Stone, who had been taking care of the elderly man for nearly 20 years, was arrested Friday and booked into the San Joaquin County Jail.

    He faces a slew of charges including inflicting great bodily injury upon another during the commission of a felony, elder abuse for causing unjustifiable pain and suffering, and elder abuse.
