Biden wins Wisconsin, gets closer to 270 required electoral votes; Trump requests recount

Milwaukee news, Wisconsin news.

Joe Biden has won another key state on Wednesday after he was declared victor in Wisconsin and granted 10 more electoral votes on the road to the 270 he needs.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump’s chances of narrowing the gap between him and his rival are vanishing. He is now requesting a recount in the state where polls were called and done.

“The president is well within the threshold to demand a recount,” Trump’s campaign manager Bill Stepien said adding that he will “immediately do so.”

Trump’s defeat in Wisconsin came as a result of today’s early morning absentee ballots counting in several large cities including Milwaukee, Kenosha, and Green Bay.

After Democrats’ loss there in 2016, Biden’s campaign sharply focused on Wisconsin and it effectively cleared him the path to get closer to his 270 electoral votes.

Biden visited Wisconsin three times during his campaign and throughout the race, he maintained a narrow but steady lead in there.
