As he held a late-night rally in Miami where a local curfew took effect at midnight, President Trump suggested that he may fire Dr. Anthony Fauci after his reelection.
It was the last event of a busy campaigning day that included five states, and it was well past midnight when the President started his usual criticizing of the pandemic coverage on American media. And that’s when the red crowds started chanting “Fire Fauci!”
“Don’t tell anybody, but let me wait until a little bit after the election,” Trump replied after keeping silent for a moment. “I appreciate the advice.”
Again, the President reiterated that the country was “turning the corner” when it comes to the novel coronavirus, but without actual evidence.
His claims come a day following an interview of Dr. Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert, in which he declared that the US just “couldn’t be positioned more poorly” ahead of winter and flu season.
On the other camp, Biden has always maintained that he will be certainly collaborating with Fauci and hopes the expert would agree to serve in his administration if elected.
