Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell has denied having any health issues despite disturbing details depicted during an appearance this week.
The 78-year-old had bandages on his hands and bruises on his face and lips hinting that he may be struggling with some kind of injuries.
“Of course not,” the Senate Majority Leader replied in Capitol Hill Thursday before ignoring reporters who asked if he is undergoing medical treatment.
He labeled the bandaged on his hands as “not concerning” and declined to provide any information despite insisting questions.
McConnell had a successful triple bypass heart surgery in 2003. Last year, he had sustained a fractured shoulder following a fall at his home.
