A 9-month-old North Dakota boy was starved to death and his three siblings tested positive for meth, police said.
According to the US Attorney’s Office, the children’s 26-year-old mother, Paige Wolf, is facing criminal charges including manslaughter and child abuse following the death of her infant, Karson Wolf.
On June 24, police found Karson unconscious at his mother’s home. He was pronounced dead shortly after the paramedics’ arrival.
Autopsy results showed he has passed away from chronic starvation.
Paige’s three other children were removed from her apartment after blood tests revealed they all had drug methamphetamine on their systems.
The late baby had “big brown eyes and a full head of hair,” according to his emotional obituary.
“He was very alert and liked playing with his sisters and brothers. He also liked listening to music with his mom and watching cartoons.”
He was often “sitting in his chair and playing with his toys.”
“Even though his time on Earth was brief, he touched so many lives and will live in our heart forever,” Karson’s grieving relatives said.
