US news.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that they have evidence that even children and young adults can spread the coronavirus inside households while asymptomatic.

It is the case of a 13-year-old girl who has not been identified but was confirmed to be the spreader of the viral illness among 11 of her relatives across four states.

The infected-teen spent three weeks in a family gathering with relatives ranging in age from 9 to 72-year-old.

The family members stayed at the five-bedroom and two-bathroom house where social distancing and safety guidelines were barely observed.

“The outbreak highlights several important issues that are good to review before the holidays,” the Cook County Public Health Department Spokesperson said.

“Physical distancing, face mask use, and hand hygiene reduce transmission; gatherings should be avoided when physical distancing and face mask use are not possible.”
