On Thursday, Phoenix authorities found human remains in the desert that they believe are those of a missing woman in her 50s.
The deceased body was discovered in a north Phoenix desert shortly after 3 p.m. An autopsy is expected to be performed by the Maricopa County Medical Examiner to officially determine if the remains belonged to Julie Concialdi, 59.
On Sept. 15, the victim’s 57-year-old husband, Joseph Concialdi was booked on suspicion of first-degree murder several weeks after her disappearance after forensic evidence involved him in the case that was investigated as a homicide.
While searching the couple’s property, investigators found a large amount of the missing woman’s blood inside. They also found Julie’s burned car in an abandoned area earlier on Sept last month.
A few days later, her husband of three decades called 911 to report her disappearance.
He admitted having a heated dispute with Julie regarding a vacation planning on Sept. 4.
Her close relatives told police they last saw her alive on Sept. 2. Since that, they have not heard from her. She has also missed some appointments and stopped going to work.
