The suspected gunman who allegedly opened fire at an Ohio family when he broke into their home on Monday morning has turned himself in, authorities said.
Kimonie Bryant, 24, is believed to be the shooter who gunned down a toddler and severely injured four other adults when he entered the residence through an unlocked door.
The slain boy was identified as 4-year-old Rowan Sweeny. His mom, Alexis Schneider, 22, was also injured in the incident.
David Sweeney, Rowan’s father, attended a police briefing Monday night and delivered an emotional message to the killer:
“Whoever did this, man, just turn yourself in. just be a man, dude. Just be a man. You’re sick. You’re just sick. You took my son from me. This is my baby boy. You took him because you’re sick. You can live with that for the rest of your life, but this is my baby.”
Police are reportedly still looking for a second suspect even though witnesses confirmed only one person fled the residence on foot following the shooting.
