Bronx man tells police his girlfriend’s mom shot him before dying

New York City news, New York news.

Nearly two months after the fatal shooting of a 40-year-old Bronx man, police have finally located the main suspect on Friday afternoon.

55-year-old Suzette Olin faces murder and weapons possession charges in connection with the shooting death of Shaka Ifill late July.

Ifill, 40-year-old, was shot in the back at his Bronx apartment on 91st Avenue and 84th Street in Woodhaven on July 26th afternoon.

Olin and her daughter, Ifill’s girlfriend, were identified as the suspects after the victim hinted to them before dying from his injuries at Jamaica Hospital.

A week prior to the murder, the couple was involved in a domestic incident. The girlfriend took her child to Queens where she remained until her arrest.

“He was a good guy. He was nice with the baby, loved the baby,” Ifill’s neighbor said. Olin was arrested by members of the NYPD’s Regional Task Force.
