Kenosha Police are looking for a man who was carrying a long gun during the overnight protests that left two people dead and one seriously injured.
The fatal shooting occurred on 63rd Street and Sheridan Road Tuesday night. Two victims were pronounced dead at the scene while the third was rushed to a local hospital.
Those who participated in the demonstrations over Jacob Blake’s police-involved shooting on Tuesday night described the street as a warzone. Officers and the National Guard deployed to the city asked protesters to disperse after 8 p.m. amid a curfew imposed since Sunday.
Instead, clashes grew aggressive among demonstrators prompting police to use pepper balls and tear gas to stop the violence.
