A South Mississippi man has been fatally shot and dumped near the coast in Hancock County, according to Pearl River County Coroner.
On Friday, human remains found last month were identified as Willie “Chill” Jones. He was last seen alive on July 6 leaving his home with a relative.
The same relative, identified as 24-year-old Dustin Gray, was arrested on murder charges in connection with Jones’ death. Besides him, police arrested 18-year-old Austin Brookshire; Jones’ wife 21-year-old Erica Deleon Gray and a minor.
Dustin and Erica Gray were arrested in Colorado following Jones’ disappearance. They are awaiting extradition to Mississippi. Dustin was denied bond while Erica, who was charged with accessory to murder charges, is being held on a $50,000 bond.
