An Ohio mom is in police custody after her toddler jumped out of a window at their second-story apartment on Wednesday.
26-year-old Ashleigh Bates was charged with felony child endangering after her 2-year-old son fell out of an open window at around 6:20 p.m. Police officers rushed to the Upland Avenue in Akron where the child landed after his jump. The toddler has sustained broken leg and pelvis as a result of the fall and received emergency treatment at the scene before being transported to Akron Children Hospital.
Bates has been arrested and booked into the Summit County Jail. It is unclear if she was home when the boy fell.
